Whether you wish to gather shortly after the funeral or at a later date that holds meaning, a Celebration of Life allows family and friends to come together in a more personal, unhurried way, to share memories, stories, and quiet moments of reflection.

At Herriots, we offer a warm, welcoming setting where you can remember your loved one in a way that feels right for you. Our team is here to support you with care, understanding, and gentle guidance, taking the pressure away from planning so you can focus on being with those closest to you.

Celebrations of Life can be held on a birthday, anniversary, or following the scattering or interment of ashes, whenever feels most appropriate. Each gathering is thoughtfully arranged, with flexibility and sensitivity at its heart.

Spaces designed for comfort and reflection

We offer a choice of calm, comfortable spaces to suit both intimate gatherings and larger memorials:

The Rosewood Suite
A spacious, light-filled room for up to 120 guests, offering privacy and flexibility. A projector and screen are available for photo slideshows or video tributes, allowing you to share memories in a meaningful way.

The Conservatory
A bright, relaxed space ideal for smaller gatherings, with sofas and armchairs creating a more informal, homely atmosphere. The room overlooks our courtyard, bringing in natural light and a sense of calm.

Rhubarb Restaurant
Located at the front of the hotel, this elegant space can accommodate up to 50 guests and may extend into the adjoining bar lounge if required.

Thoughtful catering, simply arranged

Food and drink can play an important part in bringing people together. We offer a range of flexible catering options, all prepared with care:

• Afternoon Tea served buffet-style from £14.50 per person, including free flowing tea and coffee
• Hot finger buffet selection from £16.50 per person
• Drinks receptions, buffets, or bespoke menus tailored to your wishes
