Easter Treats for our NHS Heroes

It may have been a very different type of Easter at Herriots Hotel in Skipton but proprietor Michele, managers Chris & Lauren and head chef Paul were still busy making Easter treats for our NHS Heroes at Airedale hospital.

The team produced 100 home baked scones with Rhubarb jam and cream and their special recipe shortbread biscuits for the staff to enjoy.

Herriots wanted to show their appreciation, especially to the staff at Airedale who have held many of their Christmas parties, functions and summer events for both nurses and doctors at the hotel.

Manager Chris Fenton said “It’s a small way of saying thank you and letting them know we are thinking of them all and truly appreciate all that they are doing and sacrificing to keep us safe.  They are all working such long hours under difficult circumstances and so we hope that these treats will perhaps bring a little comfort and joy to their day.”

Chris delivered the cream teas to David Moss at the hospital on Easter Monday where they were distributed to the fantastic hardworking staff, bringing a bank holiday treat to their very busy day.
